Wonder Woman Costume slightly less terrible. I guess.

Odyssey Dawn

When I first saw that the US operation in Libya was called Odyssey Dawn I had to double check that I wasn't reading the Onion. Where is the room for parody? The government is actually naming their mission after a group of people just trying to get home after a war that dragged on for ten years (but most of them die in the attempt). Wow.

A Quick Reversal

"God has no sex," he said. "He is mysterious..."
"He" is neither male nor female,

While I am sure it is much less invasive, I am not quite sure how you can call bladder surgery via the vagina "incisionless". Unless someone is smuggling major organs in their reproductive canal, you still need to make an incision to get to it.

Wonder What?

Do you remember back in January when I said it was important that Wonder Woman didn't end up on NBC?

This is why.

It's like Robin's nipple suit all over again.

I was mildly impressed by the woman who could shoplift shoes by hiding them under her boobs. But that pales in comparison to the woman who used her vagina to hide "54 bags of heroin, 31 empty bags used to package heroin, and eight prescription pills - along with $51.22 in cash and change."

Gratuitous Mrs Peel

TeddyPig recently brought to mind the original Avengers, specifically MrsPeel.  And in my mind specifically the 1966 episode a Touch of Brimstone.  I vividly recall a scene where Mrs Peel is holding off the villains with a lunging whip, but alas I could not find a picture of that....

Would you like some Freud with that...?

I'd be impressed too.

That's Just Wrong #5: Battle Hamster

I know they are just trying to butch up the toy, but seriously: Battle Hamster?  Battle Hamster?  Unless you are being invaded by an army of baby carrots I don't think your army of fluffy hamsters is going to be much use....

Andrej Pejic

Andrej Pejic is a successful high fashion runway model.  Tall, thin, blond.

Not blonde, mind you, because Andrej is a male.  Although he is often hired to model female fashion.

I find it interesting that the high fashion ideal for the female body overlaps with the anatomy of an adolescent boy.

But I suppose it makes sense because runway shows and designer 'spreads' are much more a form of theatre (like Kabuchi) than a type of industry (like, for example haberdashery).

There is a new "exotic" scent for Febreze air freshner--New Zealand springs.

"Experiencing new culture, cuisine and scenery for the first time is a breath of fresh air that can change you forever. Tropical getaways and international travels are the inspiration for our exotic scents."

"New Zealand Springs: Inspired by New Zealand’s south island where springs feed glacier-carved streams and verdant vistas."

I am not sure what that is actually meant to smell like? Phosphate fertiliser and sheep droppings?  Fish and chips with a hint of Raid mosquito spray?

All I can say is that if they have any class Frebreze will be making a donation to the Christchurch earthquake fund.
