Nike's New Low

Successful people are allowed to fuck around, apparently. It may even be true to some extent, but I don't see it as an aspirational statement that enhances Nike's brand.

I like a romance hero with unconventional looks.  But was it really necessary to use a pose where he is wiping his nose with her ice cream cone?

Glade

Bzzagent got me a free sample of this limited edition Glade fragrance spray.  The idea is that it looks a good deal more stylish than your average aerosol, with the swooshy-looking reusable cover. You spray it by squeezing instead of pressing down, FWIW.

It was perhaps a little too stylish for me so I punked it up a bit....

The smell is a nice, sort of generic sweet flower--like a lily maybe.  Certainly better than the smell of my dogs with all the rain we've been having.

Cloche

A cloche or bell jar is basically a way to protect a delicate item, or can be used as a terrarium.

What I don't understand is why it is necessary to point out how non-gender-specific this thing is?

Xmas Trees are Evil?

For those who follow a literal Bible, no Christmand trees this year:

"Thus saith the Lord, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. . . . They are altogether brutish and foolish." (Jeremiah 10:2-8)

Self Taxidermy?

I just noticed that if you search Amazon for "taxidermy supplies", the second largest category of results is "Beauty: self tanners and bronzers".
