Tampon disposal

"Does this seem complicated to anyone else? Who wants to hang on to a plastic wrapper for hours just so they can wrap a tampon back up in it? What's wrong with toilet paper — too bourgeois?"
To which my answer is:
1) You use the wrapper on the one you just took out to put the new one in, and
2) Fine if you want to carry a soggy pink mass of paper out into the public area of the restroom (which in my office is the only place with a rubbish bin).

Do you need a bag for your awkward eupemisms?
That must be what this bag is for right? This blue flowery bag? Somewhere to put stray words that are causing you public embarrassment due to their complete lack of intrinsic meaning?
I mean: "Necessities Courtesy Bag". The only word that means anything there is "bag". And how on earth do you trademark the word "necessities"?
And don't even get me started on "your needs away from home". Unless this bag contains oxygen, food and a very large Tazer it ain't even coming close to meeting my needs away from home.

Meanwhile in New Zealand
Alasdair Thompson, chief executive of the Employers and Manufacturers' Association (EMA), had an explanation for why women earn less then men.
Apparently it is because: "Women take more sick leave than men," due to their "monthly sick problems".
If you live on this planet and in this millennium you may have trouble understanding what this time-traveler from the Victorian era is referring to, specifically menstruation. He seems to think women routinely take days off when menstruating.
I imagine he is also concerned about the females' voluminous petticoats getting caught in the looms.
It seems that this asshat is going to resign.
My heart bleeds for him.
Perhaps I should take the day off.
