On the theme of school admin busy-bodies....

"Dozens of Gig Harbor High School students demonstrated outside the school Monday to protest an official's decision to show parents surveillance video of their daughter kissing another girl ... The parents moved the girl to a different school district after watching it." [KOMOnews]

One wonders what the parents' reaction would've been had the girl been kissing a boy. Would it even have been brought up to the parents as possible delinquent behavior?

Also, it's nice that the principal goes, "Oh, yeah, well NOW we've stopped using the cameras that way." Yeah, after some poor girl's life has already been ruined. Tell me, has the Dean of Students been reprimanded in any way? No? Hmph.
