I didn't even know some schools had gendered graduation gowns

But, boy, do I think it makes sense to give up this practice. Grand Haven High School (MI) used to graduate students in yellow for girls and blue for boys.  Now they are going for all blue.

The story included a fair bit of whining, including "Not all parents are pleased either. If they only had daughters, and were planning to reuse an older sister's gold cap and gown, they will now have to purchase blue ones."  Which overlooks that in future there will be savings to be had in being able to pass down any gowns that will fit to anyone who can use them, regardless of gender.

Navy to De-gender Uniforms

In a reverse move to the tendency to make different versions of things for males and females, the US Navy is moving from having different uniforms for men and women to a single uniform for both genders.

All Dressed Up and.... Oh My God Kill it With Fire

There were many stunning, beautiful classic gowns worn at the Swedish royal wedding. 
But this was not one of them:

Unless you considered "my vagina is vomiting pink tulle" to be a classic.

"Monokini"

I would like to go on the record as saying: there is not such thing as a monokini.  And even if there was, it would not be this:

Firstly, this is and will always be a swimsuit.  Or whatever you culture calls a swimsuit. In my case as a New Zealander: togs. It was called that before there were bikinis and there is no reason to stop calling that after there were bikinis.

Secondly, the 'bi' in bikini does not mean 'two" (as in two pieces).  It was named after the site of an A Bomb test at the Bikini Islands. Which are named, best as anyone can tell, after the shape of texture of a coconut ("pikinni").

And thirdly, some one already coined the neologism "monokini" back in 1960 to refer to wearing only the bottom part of a bikinis, a.k.a. topless bikini.

Thus endeth the rant.

Music Legs

This was on the packaging for some gloves I ordered off Amazon.

I can actually understand why the model is showing of the gloves while not wearing any other clothes.

What I don't understand is why mesh gloves are going by the name "Music legs"

Hoodies=Mini-Skirts for Men

Think about it.

The old stupidity was that:
1) If a girl wears a mini-skirt (about to be banned in Indonesia BTW)
2) she is gagging to have sex with anyone (slut)
3) so it's okay to rape he no matter what else she does or says.

Now we have a new stupidity so men also get to experience victim-blaming clothing-based excuses for violence:
1) If a boy wears a hoodie
2) he is a violent criminal (thug)
3) so it is okay to report, follow, harass and ultimately shoot him no matter what else he does or says.

Can you call it a 'wedding dress'...
