zentai

What is it with zentai blogs?

Okay, step back for those who need it. A zentai is a leotard like garment that covers the entire body from top to toe--including the face. It was developed for dance and bluescreen work to make the whole body one uniform color.

Zentais are popular as fetish wear because they totally encase the body, a kind of symbolic bondage and/or submission. Which is cool, although not something I entirely get. I can't even stand to wear turtlenecks.

But blogs are purely visual. Putting the viewer in the role of encaser, not encasee. The zentai can look fascinating, artistic, but it englyphs the human body and literally objectifies the woman. In a zentai a woman looks like an anime character, or a doll.

Which is okay, actually. In fact it's totally fine if that is what she wants to do. And the women behind blogs like aurora fetish are clearly in control of everything they do.

It just isn't for me.

I agree, it's slightly weird though won't question it if both are consenting.

But with the objectification thing, are their men that are the encasee? Something tells me not which indicates that it's probably sexist.

Not my thing either, nor are the turtlenecks... - that would probably feel like wearing a medieval armor suit!

Thanks for your help on the forums, as well as your offer. I'm gonna try once more on my own and if that fails, I'll email you for your help. The banner is a bit blurer, and I'm not good with photo's so would indeed like some help there.

I just dropped. lol

I wear Turtlenecks, helps with the arthritis in the neck. Cold necks hurt more; but don't believe I could wear a full body anything.

I do see some material with males but it doesn't seem as much for an audience... at least to me. The female zentai material seems more commercially driven like it has a viewership.

Although, not my cup of coffee.... it takes all kinds to make the blogoshpere go round.

I didnt know about zentai before I read about it here. I can understand zentai as something to wear. But then what are zentai blogs? Is it about women who write about such garments or is this some new type of blog?

LOL, you and me both when it comes to turtlenecks! And you do come up with the oddest things :)
